I’ve eaten here before and the food was actually pretty good–it’s standard Mexican fare and you can even order frozen cocktails in the tall plastic yards like at Señor Frog’s.
And while Tortugas Beach Club doesn’t have the sandiest beach, the water is clear turquoise, calm, and teeming with marine life.
Plus, Tortugas is basically a water sports hub in Cozumel with the floating water park, as well as water bikes, paddle boards, and jet skis–which makes it better suited for adults and older kids.

It’s struggling to compete with the bigger beach clubs, as Playa San Francisco has fewer activities and packages available.

Buccanos Grill & Beach Club is a great place for snorkeling right off the main beach, with snorkel gear rentals included in the day pass entry cost.
