Toboganxote Xplor
Viva La Travelista Disclosure

The long awaited Toboganxote waterslide at Xplor adventure park is finally open and ready for you to experience!

This incredible 5-in-1 waterslide is the only one of its kind in the world, making it a must-do activity during your visit to the park.

But what exactly does this thrilling waterslide entail? Let’s break down what we know about this new attraction.

What is Toboganxote?

Toboganxote is a new waterslide attraction at Xplor adventure park.

Xplor is one of the best Xcaret adventure parks, known for its adrenaline-pumping activities, and this new ride is no exception!

The attraction is kind of like a funnel-shaped water slide in a large raft with a total of four people.

The ride starts at 135 feet (41 meters) and takes you on a thrilling ride through four different types of descents.

The 5-in-1 Toboganxote waterslide consists of:

  1. The Sphere: First, you’ll enter a sphere-like structure where you will swing like a pendulum before being shot out down the slide.

  1. The Half Wave: After exiting the sphere, the raft will swing and slide forward over a large crescent-shaped wave.

  1. The Whirlpool: This spiral funnel will take you on a wild ride, circling and spinning before dropping you down into the next descent.

  1. The Whirlwind: Next, you’ll spin around in the 72-foot vortex, the largest in Latin America, before zigzagging down to the wave pool for a big splash.

  1. The Wave Pool: The journey ends with a river and a splash into the wave pool. The area is designed like a beach with lounge chairs and umbrellas.

How Do You Pronounce Toboganxote?

If you’re wondering how to pronounce this tongue-twister of a word, it’s pronounced “toh-bah-gahn-sho-tay”.

The key to pronouncing the Xcaret park attractions is to pronounce the “X” as a “sh” sound.

How Long Does Toboganxote Last?

The entire Toboganxote experience lasts approximately 1 minute and 15 seconds from start to finish.

It may not seem like a long time, but I think it will probably feel much longer when you’re actually on it!

πŸ‡²πŸ‡½ Traveling to Mexico soon?

These are the Mexico travel resources I use and recommend:

🏨 Hotels: I always find the best deals for Mexico hotels and resorts on Expedia or Booking.com. If you prefer a vacation rental, check VRBO as they are often cheaper than AirBnB’s added fees!

✈️ Flights: I recommend using Skyscanner for the best Mexico flight deals. Be sure to sign up for their price alerts for your preferred travel dates.

πŸš— Rental Cars: I recommend using Discover Cars because you can compare multiple car rental companies and see detailed ratings for overall value, ease of pick-up, efficiency of agents, car condition, and overall time spent.

πŸš™ Cancun Airport Transportation: I recommend booking a private transfer with Cancun Airport Transportation for the quickest and most hassle-free option!

🀿 Tours & Activities: I always use Viator or GetYourGuide for booking tours and activities in Mexico. You can cancel up to 24 hours before the tour for a full refund, plus they have excellent customer service if you were to have any issues.

🚨 Travel Insurance: After my Dad broke his hand in a taxi accident in Playa del Carmen, I always recommend buying travel insurance before your trip for added peace of mind! I recommend Travel Insurance Master for short trips or Safety Wing for digital nomads.

β˜€οΈ Biodegradable Sunscreen: Don’t forget to add biodegradable sunscreen to your Mexico packing list! Regular sunscreen is prohibited on most snorkeling tours, so you’ll need to pack some biodegradable sunscreen for sun protection. I recommend Sun Bum Sunscreen, which is reef-friendly, vegan, and cruelty-free.
