Hotel Noah Review: Location
Location Rating: 9/10
Hotel Noah has the perfect location in Mahahual Mexico. The hotel is located directly on the malecón (the main boardwalk), with a private beach just across the street.
It’s also within walking distance of restaurants and shopping, making it very easy to get out and explore the town.
And while the Mahahual malecon can be busy at times with cruise ship visitors, Hotel Noah is located on the quieter side, providing a more relaxed and low key atmosphere.
Overall, the location of Hotel Noah gets a 9/10 rating!

Hotel Noah Review: Rooms
Rooms Rating: 8/10
Hotel Noah is an intimate, boutique hotel with only 17 rooms ranging from standard rooms to suites to 2-bedroom apartments. All of the rooms are new and modern, with blue and tan earthy tones.
The guest rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and large bathrooms featuring walk-in glass showers and equipped with hair dryers (this is always a bonus for me!). Bath towels and beach towels are also provided.
Each room also has air conditioning and ceiling fans, as well as a flat-screen TV with cable television, and a mini fridge.
Travelista Tip: If you can, I would recommend upgrading to a sea view room with a spacious terrace overlooking the ocean and Mahahual malecón. The balconies are huge with stunning ocean views and private lounge beds. Rooms without a sea view are a little dark, but still comfortable nonetheless.
One downside is that the wi fi in the rooms can be spotty at times. If you really need internet service, you may need to go down to the lobby or restaurant for a better connection.
Also, some of the rooms face the street, which can be a bit loud with passing traffic.
Overall, I would give the rooms at Hotel Noah an 8/10 rating!

Hotel Noah Review: Beach
Beach Rating: 10/10
The best part of Hotel Noah is definitely its beachfront area, which features complimentary lounge chairs, hammocks, and round beach beds right in front of the Caribbean Sea. For me, it was love at first sight! 😍
The water is clear and shallow, making it perfect for swimming or kayaking. And although there was some seaweed present, the water was still very clear. The barriers also help to keep the seaweed at bay.
Overall, the atmosphere at Hotel Noah’s beach is very peaceful and relaxing, and where you will likely be spending most of your days in a lounge chair under the sun or shady palm trees.
Plus, you can also take advantage of beach food and beverage service in the sand from the Malecón 21 restaurant and beach club. There are also dining tables right in the sand if you simply want to have a meal on the beach.
The whole beach scene at Hotel Noah is very cute and Instagram-worthy, with signs and photo ops like the “Don’t forget to call your Mom” old-fashioned telephone.
Overall, I highly enjoyed my beach time at Hotel Noah and it would give it a 10/10 rating!
Hotel Noah Review: Restaurant
Restaurant Rating: 9/10
Another highlight of Hotel Noah is the on-site restaurant, Malecón 21, which was honestly some of the best food I had in Mahahual!
The restaurant offers a wide range of Mexican and international dishes, served either indoors in the breezy open-air restaurant or out on the sand.
While breakfast isn’t included, they do have a great selection of breakfast items like omelets, huevos motuleños, chilaquiles, pancakes, and fresh fruit. Plus, there’s a variety of coffee, espressos, and fresh juices and smoothies.
For lunch and dinner, try their Caribe tacos, hamburgers, Ahi Tuna Poke bowl, or seafood pasta.
And don’t forget to check out their drink menu which features a full bar with tropical cocktails, beers, and wine. The Tropical Gin cocktail was really tasty!
🌮 Check out the full Malecón 21 food and drink menu here
Prices are very reasonable, making Malecon 21 a great option for a casual meal while lounging at the beach or for dinner and drinks with your toes in the sand.
With so many good and delicious options to choose from, you probably won’t feel the need to leave the hotel!
Overall, I would give the Malecón 21 restaurant at Hotel Noah a 9/10 rating!
Hotel Noah Review: Service
Service Rating: 9/10
The staff at Hotel Noah are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, with 24 hour front desk service.
And whether you’re enjoying a meal at the restaurant or lounging on the beach, the restaurant servers will make sure you’re taken care of.
The overall vibe from the hotel staff is super friendly and accommodating yet laid-back and not uptight. And everyone passing by will say hello!
The only downside is that the front desk staff didn’t speak much English, but they’re still very helpful. I speak Spanish so this wasn’t a problem for me but could be a challenge for non-Spanish speaking guests.
Overall, I would give the service at Hotel Noah a 9/10 rating!
Hotel Noah Review: Value
Value Rating: 8/10
In terms of overall value, I do think Hotel Noah provides good value for the money. If you’re looking for a modern, clean, and comfortable hotel with an unbeatable beachfront location, Hotel Noah is the best option in Mahahual.
Even though the rooms are more expensive than other hotels in Mahahual ($100+ USD per night) and there’s no swimming pool, the hotel’s incredible beach area more than makes up for it.
Compared to all the other Mahahual beach hotels, the beach area at Hotel Noah really can’t be beat!
If you want to save money, then choose a more budget-friendly option in Mahahual. But where Hotel Noah adds value is that they pretty much provide everything you need so you don’t even feel like you have to leave the hotel to enjoy your time in Mahahual.
And while breakfast is not included in the room rate, the prices at the restaurant are very reasonable or there are plenty of other restaurants nearby to try.
Overall, I would give Hotel Noah an overall value rating of 8/10!

Tips for Staying at Noah Beach Hotel Mahahual
Follow these tips to make the most of your experience at Hotel Noah:
- Bring cash: Credit cards are accepted at Hotel Noah but since the wifi and cell service in Mahahual isn’t great, the credit card machines aren’t always working. Bring enough cash (pesos or USD) to pay for any extra expenses.
- Upgrade to a sea view room: I didn’t book a sea view room and once I saw the private ocean view terraces, I was wishing I did! If you can, upgrade to one of the sea view rooms to have the best experience with your own private terrace overlooking the ocean.
- Use the wifi in the restaurant: Overall the free wifi at the hotel was pretty spotty but I found that the wifi network in the Malecón 21 restaurant was the strongest and most reliable.
- Don’t lose the beach towels: There’s a $40 USD replacement fee if you lose the beach towels so be sure to keep track of them!
- Park on the street: The hotel offers parking for an additional fee however there is free street parking nearby where we didn’t have any issues leaving our car overnight.
Final Thoughts: Is Hotel Noah Mahahual worth it?
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Noah and thought it was worth it. It’s one of the newest and most contemporary hotels in Mahahual, making it the best choice if you prefer modern accommodations.
But what makes Hotel Noah so special is the beautiful beachfront area. After seeing all of the other beach clubs along the malecón in Mahahual, the beach at Hotel Noah really can’t be beat!
It’s the perfect choice if you just want to chill and relax at the beach for a few days. And for the best experience, definitely upgrade to one of the sea view rooms for a private terrace with stunning ocean views.
But no matter which room type you choose, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with Hotel Noah’s modern guest rooms, excellent restaurant, and incredible beach. It’s simply one of the best hotels in Mahahual!
