Top Mexico Bachelorette Party Destinations
The first step in planning a bachelorette party to Mexico is deciding where to go.
Mexico has tons of amazing cities and beach towns, each offering their own unique vibe and attractions.
You’ll want to consider flight prices to these destinations for your group and how long you plan to stay, whether it’s a week long vacation or just a bachelorette weekend getaway.
Some top destinations for bachelorette parties in Mexico include:
Tulum
✈️ Closest Airport: Cancun International Airport (CUN) ➡️ CHECK FLIGHTS
With its bohemian chic vibe, Tulum has pretty much become the top destination in Mexico for bachelorette parties.
This picturesque beach town on Mexico’s Caribbean coast is known for its white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and beachfront Mayan ruins.
Plus, with its eco-chic design aesthetic, there are Instagram-worthy shots at nearly every turn.
Tulum offers plenty of fun day trips and activities, from relaxing on the beach to exploring the Tulum Ruins to swimming in cenotes.
And when night falls, you can enjoy the town’s lively nightlife scene by partying in trendy jungle bars and nightclubs or even beach parties and house music festivals on the sand.
Tulum is the perfect destination for a bachelorette party but it’s also one of the most expensive destinations in Mexico.
Be prepared for higher prices on hotels and dining, but a Tulum bachelorette party will be unforgettable if you can afford it!
Where to Stay in Tulum for a Bachelorette Party
If you’re looking for the best place to stay for a bachelorette party in Tulum, renting a private home or villa is probably the best option for large groups to give you the most comfort and privacy.
Staying in Tulum’s Beach Zone (Zona Hotelera) will be the most expensive or you can stay in Tulum Town for more affordable options and vacation rentals.
Search for Tulum home rentals on VRBO or consider these options for Tulum Mexico bachelorette party accommodations:
Cancun
✈️ Closest Airport: Cancun International Airport (CUN) ➡️ CHECK FLIGHTS
Cancun is another Mexico beach destination that’s a popular choice for bachelorette parties.
The lively Hotel Zone offers endless entertainment options and activities, from partying at clubs to water sports and outdoor activities.
Plus, it’s home to beautiful beaches with bright turquoise waters and white sand, perfect for a day of lounging or beach club hopping.
Cancun is also known for its nightlife and offers many high-energy clubs and beach parties.
Plus, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can take a party boat to Isla Mujeres, a tropical paradise known for its beautiful seaweed-free beaches.
A Cancun bachelorette party is also more affordable than Tulum and has a wider range of hotel options.
But just beware that the Hotel Zone can be quite touristy and crowded during peak season.
Where to Stay in Cancun for a Bachelorette Party
If you’re looking for the best place to stay in Cancun for a bachelorette party, you’ll want to stay in the Hotel Zone to be close to bars and nightlife.
Consider these options for Cancun Mexico bachelorette party accommodations:
Playa del Carmen
✈️ Closest Airport: Cancun International Airport (CUN) ➡️ CHECK FLIGHTS
Just south of Cancun on Mexico’s Caribbean coast is the town of Playa del Carmen–where I live in Mexico!
This laid-back beach town is more relaxed and offers a lot of walkability and easy access to Playa del Carmen beaches when staying downtown.
Playa del Carmen is known for its lively 5th Avenue, a vibrant pedestrian-only street where you’ll find a mix of souvenir shops, bars, restaurants, and nightlife.
Playa del Carmen also offers plenty of beach activities from lounging on the sand to snorkeling or scuba diving in the turquoise waters.
Plus, it’s a short ferry ride to the beautiful island of Cozumel for an added day trip adventure during your bachelorette party.
At night, you can enjoy the town’s lively party scene by hitting up open-air bars and nightclubs while dancing to house or Reggaeton music. And finish the night by chowing down on some authentic Mexican tacos!

The Riviera Maya is a stretch of Mexico’s Caribbean coast that extends from Cancun all the way south to Tulum.
This beautiful region is known for its luxury resorts, white sand beaches, and turquoise waters.
Staying in Riviera Maya is best for those looking for a slightly more relaxed bachelorette party experience and who are not planning to leave the resort.
You can definitely still visit nearby towns for shopping and nightlife but it will just take a little more work to arrange transportation.
Additionally, you won’t find much nightlife when staying in Riviera Maya unless you travel to Playa del Carmen, Cancun, or Tulum for a night out.
But the Riviera Maya offers some of the best all-inclusive resorts with stunning beachfront locations, expansive pools, and top-notch service.
Plus, there are plenty of resort activities to keep you pampered from spa treatments to yoga classes, wellness activities, and more.

The Riviera Maya region is spread out and there are many different resort locations in between Cancun and Tulum.
If you to be closer to the nightlife in Playa del Carmen or Cancun, consider booking a resort closer to these areas.

🥂 I’ve personally stayed at Hotel Unico 20°87° Riviera Maya and it’s a fab option for a bachelorette party!
Cabo San Lucas
✈️ Closest Airport: Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) ➡️ CHECK FLIGHTS
Located on Mexico’s Baja peninsula, Cabo San Lucas is a trendy and upscale beach town that offers luxurious resorts, delicious restaurants, and fantastic nightlife.
Mainly catering to American tourists, it pretty much feels like an extension of southern California!
Cabo San Lucas is one of the best bachelorette party destinations in Mexico if you’re looking for an upscale beach vacation with posh resorts, trendy beach clubs, and fine dining restaurants.
While the beaches in Cabo aren’t very swimmable due to their large waves and rocky shorelines, there are plenty of water activities like jet skiing, boat tours, and snorkeling or scuba diving.
Or you can simply relax and soak up the sun at the private pool at your resort.
Plus, a boat tour to El Arco (the famous Cabo arch) and Lover’s Beach on the Sea of Cortez is a must during your Cabo San Lucas bachelorette party.
Where to Stay in Cabo San Lucas for a Bachelorette Party
When deciding where to stay in Los Cabos, you can choose between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo.
Cabo San Lucas is probably better suited for bachelorette parties because it is larger and has much more nightlife. San Jose del Cabo is quieter and more family-friendly.
Consider these options for Cabo bachelorette party accommodations or search for private home rentals on VRBO:
Puerto Vallarta
✈️ Closest Airport: Puerto Vallarta International (PVR) ➡️ CHECK FLIGHTS
Set in a jungle environment, Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful beach town located on Mexico’s Pacific Ocean coast.
The town’s oceanfront malecón (boardwalk) is lined with restaurants, bars, and shops while the tropical jungles offer plenty of outdoor adventure opportunities.
Puerto Vallarta offers a more authentic Mexican bachelorette party experience with its charming cobblestone streets and Mexican architecture carved into a hillside overlooking the Banderas Bay.
It’s the perfect bachelorette party destination if you’re looking for an affordable and authentic beach vacation on Mexico’s west coast.
You can find plenty of fun activities, such as zip lining, ATV tours, and whale watching excursions.
Or, if you’re looking for some nightlife, Puerto Vallarta is home to many lively clubs and bars.
And you can even venture a little further north to the beach towns of Sayulita or Punta Mita for a little more exclusivity.

When deciding where to stay in Puerto Vallarta, you can choose to stay in Puerto Vallarta (the downtown area) or Nuevo Vallarta (an area of new development).
Puerto Vallarta is probably better suited for bachelorette parties as you’ll be closer to nightlife and attractions. Nuevo Vallarta is more family-friendly and has a more resort feel.
Additionally, the northern towns of Punta Mita and Sayulita offer many different options for luxury resorts in Puerto Vallarta.
Consider these options for Puerto Vallarta bachelorette party accommodations:

Tips for Planning your Mexico Bachelorette Party
Follow these tips to make sure your Mexican bachelorette party goes off without a hitch:
- Choose an adults-only resort: If choosing an all inclusive resort, be sure to choose one that caters specifically to adults in order to ensure a relaxing and fun atmosphere away from kids and families.
- Consider a private home or villa rental: For larger groups, renting homes or private villas can be a more affordable and intimate option. It also allows for more freedom to have your own pool party or gathering without worrying about noise complaints from hotels. You can search for Mexico home rental options on VRBO.
- Go in the off-season for lower prices: Mexico’s high season for tourists is typically December through February, so consider going during the off-season in order to save on expenses and avoid crowds. The shoulder months of high season (March/April and October/November) will still have great weather but fewer crowds. Of course, this will depend on the wedding date, but try to be flexible with trip dates if you can to save money.
- Book your airport transportation ahead of time: Avoid the hassle and stress of finding transportation after a long flight by booking airport transfers or shuttle services ahead of time. Uber is not available in the Riviera Maya region (including Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum) so private airport transfers are the recommended way to go and you can save money by grouping arrivals together.
- Book private excursions if you can: Mexico has so many amazing excursions and activities to offer, but consider booking private tours for a more personalized experience. This can also prevent any issues with group sizes or not being able to accommodate everyone at once. Plus, you’ll get to avoid the crowds and do exactly what you want to do, making it much more special for the bride-to-be.
- Plan for some relaxation time in between events and parties: Mexico is the perfect destination for some R&R, so be sure to block off some downtime during the bachelorette party. Whether it’s lounging on the private beach or getting a massage at the spa, make sure to schedule in some time to relax, recharge, and recover from hangovers.
- Ask for extra touches: Hotels, tour operators, and service providers in Mexico are no strangers to bachelorette parties and can often offer special services or add-ons to make the event even more memorable. Consider asking for personalized decorations, champagne in the room upon arrival, a cake or special dessert, or a round of complimentary tequila shots. Don’t be afraid to ask – they may just surprise you with what they can do for the bridal party!
- Pack biodegradable sunscreen: Mexico’s beaches and natural beauty are some of the main attractions, so be sure to pack biodegradable sunscreen in order to protect not only yourself but also the environment. Regular sunscreen is prohibited when swimming in cenotes and on most snorkeling excursions. Be sure to use biodegradable sunscreen anytime you are swimming the ocean. It’s also a good idea to bring along some travel-sized aloe vera in case of a sunburn!
- Stay hydrated: The tap water in Mexico is not safe to drink and when combined with excessive drinking, it can be difficult to stay hydrated during your trip. Make sure to drink plenty of bottled water, eat regularly, and alternate alcoholic drinks with hydrating beverages. It’s also a good idea to bring along these bachelorette party water bottles to keep on hand and help you stay hydrated.
- Don’t forget pain relievers and Pepto Bismol: Don’t forget to pack pain relievers like Tylenol, Advil, or Ibuprofen for hangover relief! It’s also a good idea to bring along some Pepto Bismol in case you run into any stomach issues from the food or water. These bachelorette party hangover kits are also a cute and practical favor!
- Stay safe: Mexico is a great destination for a bachelorette party, but it’s important to always be aware of your surroundings and take precautions to stay safe. Stick together as a group when out at night, don’t flash valuables or leave them unattended, and avoid leaving drinks unattended. When out and about, consider wearing a cute belt bag to keep your phone and belongings close and secure.
- Track your expenses: Mexico is a budget-friendly destination, but things can add up quickly during a bachelorette party and it can be confusing when prices are in Mexican pesos. Consider appointing one person in the group to be in charge of tracking expenses and setting a budget for the trip.
